Default Warm top freezing on bottom/ sidebyside
Model Number: GSS201EMDWW   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

MY GE side by side frige has had the defrost heater asembly replaced recently and now has a different problem. It is too warm on the top and freezing on the bottom on both sides. I checked the owners manuel and adjusted temp with no reults. I took apart the freezer side again and the fan was not running. When I tapped it with my finger it started on 2 different occaions last night. the ice maker and water dispenser is not working at the moment I think because the water tubing at the bottom of the frige is frozen right next to the frozen veggies in the crisper. What parts do I buy?

Default replace motor

Without proper airflow you will have inconsistent temps.. Suggest replacing evaporator fan motor (AP3191003) if it runs after tapping on or around it..
