ice dispencer is stuck in crushed ice mode wont switch back an forth from cubes to crushed ice

There is a solenoid that switches it back and forth and linkages the solenoid is connected to. See if the solenoid is working and linkages hooked up. Part 45 in the diagram of your ice container. Replacement parts for FRG PLHS239ZCB0 | AppliancePartsPros.com
