My ice maker has stopped dispensing crushed ice. When this happened, a slightly curved, flat molded plastic piece came out with the ice. From looking at it, I can tell that it broke off from somewhere. I cannot determined where it came from although it's probably from the storage or dispensing assembly. Can you direct me to what part I need to replace?

Betowns,

I would think the ice chute gate has broken off the housing(part # 13 in the parts diagram for the ice dispenser. You would need to order and replace the housing
Part number: 241885001
Part number: 241885001

You will need to crefully remove the front panel of the ice buckey assembly to access the housing, and other components.

Here's some help :

To remove Ice Auger & Crusher Assembly:

1. Remove four (4) screws holding Ice Container Front to Ice Container.

2. Remove two (2) screws on underside of Ice Container, holding Crusher Housing to container.
3. Remove screw holding Control Rod to container, located on underside of container.
4. Remove three (3) Hex head screws holding Crusher Housing to Front Plate.
5. Remove E-ring and washer on front of Crusher Housing.
6. Slide Control Rod free of Crusher Housing Gate.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
