Compressor runs all the time. Freezer gets to 40 deg. ref. gets to 60 deg. Do I need Freon ? I disconnected the defrost heater. same symptoms.

Is the fan condenser fan near the compressor running?
Check the evaporator coils in the freezer behind the back cover.
Is it frosted, iced up completely or only frost on part of the coil.
