Both sides stop cooling and the temp display does not update (also uses zero watts on watt-meter when this happens). The refrigerator side defrost cycle does not work with a suspected bad thermostat switch (shows open when iced up and when refrig is defrosted - quick defrost with a electric leaf blower blown directly onto the evaporator).

I have been cycling power about once a day & performing a quick defrost about once a week (garage / high humidity) to keep it operating.

Due to the temp display becoming 'stupid' and both sides stop cooling I am uncertain whether replacing just the refrigerator defrost thermostat (thermo fuse) will cure the problem.

Thermostat part number AP136048 (old P/N AP4136145)
