Model Number: 253.23024101 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
My fixed bottom shelf fell out of the holes and will not stay. I have been without this shelf for almost 3 years now, but since I'm ordering a part for my refrigerator I wanted to get any parts I might for my upright freezer need to get this shelf back in. I can balance it in the middle, but if it moves left or right by a hair it falls.

The sides have probably warped some over the years and there is not really a fix for this, so you will have to do a jiggery pokery.
Probably the easiest is to get two metal rods that are longer that the shelf rods and install these so the shelf can sit on then. You may have to cut them down to get them the correct length so they will fit in and not fall out.. You will also have to cut off some the current shelf's support rods so it will fit in the unit. A wood dowel may also work but will not be as strong. Note: I am not 100% sure that the above will work but is probably worth a try.
