My refrigerator is freezing food. We have tried turning up the temperature but it always seems to stay between 25-32 degrees. What could possibly be the problem and is it going to be costly? I am getting frustrated with having to throw food out because it is frozen including my milk! Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

Take a look at #924 on this diagram. It sounds like the damper might be stuck wide open, letting too much cold air in to the fresh food section from the freezer.
Let me know what you find. |

My husband tore open the fridge and the freezer to get to the damper and when he finally found it, it runs on a motor. He could hear the gears. Therefore the damper is not wide open. Is there anything else that might be our problem?
Thank you for your help!! |
