Hello ,my refrigerator compressor start relay burned and some of the metal melted on one of the compressor terminals tip forming a small solder like ball .
could i apply heat to melt it off so i could plug a new relay, instead of replacing the whole compressor?
thank you in advance.

You could probably file it down with a metal fingernail file or any such thing. If a soldiering iron will melt it that would be ok but I wouldn't put a flame to it.
