The first question is why did you replace the above parts. Did you have an iced up evaporator coil? i am seeing water dripping on the top tray from the unit above ceiling of the fridge This sounds like the drain tube which takes water down to the tray under the fridge is blocked. Not sure but I thing it drains into a funnel like part at the top of the fresh food section and then out the back and down to the tray. Remove the kick plate and check to be sure it is not plugged up with lint at the bottom. If OK blow through it from the top or use a turkey baster and hot water. Once clear flush it with a 10% bleach solution, crud tends to grow in it. The cold air for the fresh food section is just regulated mechanically. Remove the plastic cover in the freezer (has an adjust knob) and make sure that it is turning to increase/decrease air flow. Also check that the fan in the freezer is running, it is required to push cold air down into the fresh food section. Check that the air path between the freezer and the fresh food sections is clear of obstructions. The fan should only be off when the unit is in a defrost cycle, compressor and condenser fan will also be off.

thank you for getting back to me so soon i changed these parts because i thought it was the thermostat not working and since the other parts around it was not that expensive i thought it would help. I notice the drips of water only since i replaced these parts.

Sorry, but I do not see a question in the above. I suggested a number of things to do, you did not say if you had done any of them.

hi i am sorry but i did not get answer to my original problem of what could be the cause of the freezer working and not the fridge i have not noticed any built up of ice any where in the freezer so far i did get chance to check on the drain problem that you gave me answer to as yet.

From my earlier post
The cold air for the fresh food section is just regulated mechanically. Remove the plastic cover in the freezer (has an adjust knob) and make sure that it is turning to increase/decrease air flow. Also check that the fan in the freezer is running, it is required to push cold air down into the fresh food section. Check that the air path between the freezer and the fresh food sections is clear of obstructions. The fan should only be off when the unit is in a defrost cycle, compressor and condenser fan will also be off. You may have had a defrost problem earlier. The freezer you said is OK so the water you are seeing is probably from the unit doing a defrost cycle.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for FRG FRT17G5CSBA | AppliancePartsPros.com See the "Cabinet" section Once you remove Item 1 it will all make sense. You will see how the knob (Item 2) regulates the amount of air from the freezer which goes down the air duct into the fresh food section. If I remeber correctly there are clips along the sides of Item 1 which should release it from the evaporator coil cover plate.

hi i have just finish opening the area in the freezer that knob in item #2 in the cabinet diagram which should regulate the air flow makes no sense it is not connected to anything behind it it just rotates and make clicking sounds. But what i have noticed is that the fan item #5 which is attach to item #13 in the cabinet diagram does not spin at all. i let it open not putting back plastic cover it does not spin at all. i have checked the air path between freezer and fresh food and there is noting obstructing it. the vents on item 58 both left and right air comes out but the vents on item #1 nothing comes out of it this is where the fan is on top. so tell me is it the fan item #13 thanks
