Hi,
The other day we noticed the freezer was defrosting and all the metal around the front of the fridge was really hot, so we emptied freezer into my big freezer and in this process noticed that the vent in the bottom rear of the inside of the freezer was covered with product. Right after we removed this it appeared to start cooling again then stopped. Now the refridgerater is also affected, it is no longer getting hot around front of fridge but not working. So i unplugged for a bit and after plugging back in it appeared to kick on, but did not stay on long enough to cool?????
Help, thanks
Traci

Traci,
Pull the refrigerator out of the wall and remove the cover on the back. Clean the condenser coils and make sure the fan next to the compressor is on when the compressor is on. Put the cover back and give it a few hours to run before checking the temperature.
Post the results.
Gene.
