If I pour water into the ice maker it works fine. When hooked up to my water line no water goes into the ice maker

Make sure the ice maker water feeding tube is not frozen. Locate the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. Swap the wires between the green and red (orange) solenoids. Depress the water dispenser lever for a few seconds and check if there is water in the ice maker. If there is water, replace the ice maker. If there is no water, replace the water inlet valve. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP3160649
