Hi, I have a GE refrig model pss29nsta ss. It will not crush or drop ice into the door. Upon closer look have found that the drive cup is broken. I replaced one and it lasted a couple of months, then I replaced another one and it lasted a day. What else could be wrong? I looked at the auger and other parts and they all look ok. - but ok to me, could be broken to an expert. - I have another drive cup on its way to me but I don't want to install it without some expert advise. Can someone help me?
I have read on one web site that I needed to remove the cover crusher to install it and it required breaking it to get it off. I am willing to buy one, I would like another opinion of how to repair this or do I need to just buy a new assembly?
thanks for the help
Terri:) :) :) :) :) :) :)
