I noticed that the light did not come on when the freezer door was opened. Further checking revealed a small ice flow (drip) that was between the light switch and the plate the touches (depresses) the switch on the back wall. The switch was frozen in the off position.
I hit the switch with a hair dryer and cleaned the ice off of the portion of the tray that depresses it and it worked for a while. But, it is icing up again.
Also, if I leave the ice maker switched to the off position, it eliminates the problem until I switch it back on.
Any ideas? thanks
