The icemaker seems to be allowing drippage from the bucket down through the hole in the door that leads to the water and ice area inset on the door. The GE warranty folks sent a small plastic part that mounted toward the rear; it didn't stop it.

Since the frost and ice buildup seem to be related to the icemaker, I'm planning on ordering a replacement ice maker, parts pro item AP4345120. Does this seem like the correct solution or is there something else that might be causing the leak. No water seems to leak from the water dispenser on the door.

This is a persistent problem.

If you can pinpoint the source of the water you may not need a new ice maker. Check the fill tube for cracks and ice blockage.
