Default Actuator replacement
Model Number: 241685703   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

The Actuator broke (that's the pad in the water dispenser that you press your glass against to get water) in my double-sided Frigidaire (model: PLHS67EGSB1). I successfully purchased the replacement part, but have no idea on how to replace it. The part came with no instructions on how to do so. I'm not afraid to attempt the replacement, but I'm admittedly an extreme novice in this area.

I don't see where I can remove the front black dispensing area... it doesn't look like it'll fit over the broken actuator. And when I open the freezer door, I don't see where I can access that part of the dispenser without removing the inside of the door. So, before I start tearing my freezer apart, I'm seeking help from anyone who can help to replace this rather small part.

It all replaces and accessess from the front. The black cover is attached by plastic clips. Most snap forward and then raise panel towards top of machine in a sliding motion.
