My Refrigerator Will Not Defrost I Dont Know If I Need A Bimetal Defrost Or A Heater Please Help !

Turn the defrost timer (part 4 on the diagram of your liner) Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL ET8RHMXKT01 | AppliancePartsPros.com till it clicks and see if the heater comes on. If it does, the timer is bad. If it doesn't you can bypass the bimetal. If the heater then comes on the bimetal is bad. If the heater doesn't come on the heater is bad. Heater should show continuity with an ohm meter. Bimetal should show continuity when cold and none when warm.
