GE Profile Arctica Side-by-side - The freezer compartment was not holding temp and would fluctuate between -3 and 15 degrees. Fridge seemed to be fine with temp. Also, ice maker would not produce ice. We replaced the main board and the water valve in the rear of the unit. This has not helped. The freezer is still going wild with temps and still no ice. I'm not sure what to do now as most of the suggestions I read recommended the board be replaced. Hoping someone has some ideas.

There are two thermistors in the freezer. Remove both of them. Place each of them in iced water for 10 minutes and measure the resistance. Normal reading suppose to be about 16.3 Kohms.

If the reading is incorrect, replace them. They are identical.

Make sure the fan inside the freezer works properly.
