Hi, I have a sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator that recently started cycling on and off, and also makes a loud click and a buzzing noise when the compressor turns on.
I pulled it away from the wall and cleaned everything really good. I did notice that the compressor was hot.

If the compressor is very hot, you may have a shorted compressor winding. An amprobe would confirm.

Just bought a new samsung fridge four door model. Stainless Steel. I hope it lasts longer than the Sears trio stainless steel.
