freezer side all food frozen solid ref side milk spoils damper is closed wanted to inspect but after loosening 2 1/4 " screws felt too much resistance guess have to unfasten something from freezer side? Any sugestions would be much appreciated! THANKS IN ADVANCE :confused:

Thanks for the info but dont know what to chek damper motor works but wants to remain closed right now i'm keeping it open with apiece of wire so fresh food doesn't spoil but I can hear it trying to close also after removing screws to cover felt too much resistance is there something holding damper from freezer side thanks any guidance is greatly appreciated

As far as I know there is nothing in the freezer holding it on.
Are you sure it is not just the damper seal sticking to the side of the fresh rood compartment.
