Model Number: PDS22SCRBLSS Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a GE profile Bottom Freezer.
I just changed the main board because my temp display stopped working. Now my temp display is working and the freezer section is down to -2 degrees and refrigerator is down to 33 degrees. Seems like the compressor and fans are constantly running. The instructions for changing the main board state step 4 - cut the green wire in capacitor board. My components don't look like the pictures on the instruction sheet. There is a part jsu21x126aqc, which i think is the capacitor, which has a green wire going to it. Do I need to cut that green wire? Thanks Peter Ads By Google Related Models |

Peter,
What is the part number of the control board you installed? Can you post the installation instructions? Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric PDS22SCRBLSS Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

If you don't have such capacitor then there is nothing to worry about.
BTW, -2°F and 33°F are too low. Normal temperatures are: about 0°F in the freezer and 35°F - 38°F in the fresh food compartment. Adjust the temperature settings. Gene.

Peter,
Such part does not shown on the diagrams. Also, if it it's not there where it's shown on the picture in the instructions then there is no wire to cut. Gene.

Thanks for the help Gene
The frig seems to be running normal now. I got the low temps after initial start up of the new main board. I let it run for almost 24 hours and seemed to become normal, 0 degrees in freezer and 37 degrees in ref, which is what they are set too. Highly recommend this website and blog. Great price and fast delivery of new board. |

You are welcome Peter. I'm glad it's up and running.
Gene.
