Refrigerator & Freezer Repair

I have an old refrigerator RCA model KFB214 RY ...and the compressor doesn't seem to start... I hear only some "click" sound. Is it possible that the starting motor relay is defective or the compressor is the problem?

I cannot find any info on this model number.

Cannot say what is shot, you have to do some trouble shooting.
Note: that the compressor can check out OK electrically and still have an internal mechanical problem.

I don t exactly know what you treatment your refrigerator requires but when I had that problem I just replaced the compressor. Try this may you got the treatment .
