I have GE Eterna side by side fridge that every so often will not properly cool the top areas of both the fridge and freezer. The very bottom of the fridge area will freeze actualy, where the top will be around 50 degrees. The water dispenser also seems to freeze up. The problem occurs anywhere from a week apart to month apart and seems to last from 12 to 24 hours before everything goes back to normal operation.
Any ideas on what could cause the intermittant problem?

If the fridg shuts down with nothing working, I would suspect the motherboard in the back AP4436216. You can pull the board and check for bad solder connections at the big power relay.
