Ice Maker

Have a Whirlpool ED25DQXDW00 side by side frig. We recently moved and the frig was in storage for about a year. Prior to storage the ice maker worked fine. After moving into a home and hooking up the water line to the ice maker, the water flows into the ice tray but never shuts off and overflows and floods the freezer. I have turned off the refrig and disconnected the water line and waited till the frig came to room temperature thinking something was frozen. But that did not work, after plugging in the frig, and turing on the water, the ice maker overflowed again.
What can I do?
Bob
