My Kenmore (whirlpool 7GD27DIXHW01) side by side ref is not cooling down on the ref side. Freezer is fine. I think it is the Evaporator fan that controls the air flow but just no sure. I have checked and made sure that the vents are not covered so I don't know where else to go short of a service call. What do you think?

Pull the freezer back panel and check the evaporator motor. You can remove it if not running and plug in the wall outlet. If it fails to run, get a new one here AP3137520

Could the air scoop (damper) to the fridge side in the air duct be stuck or the thermostat that controls it bad? I know that the scoop is controlled by a "thermostat part # AP3037004" that pivots an arm opening and closing the air scoop in the duct but not sure of that possibility since all of that appears to be more or less straight up bi metal mechanical.
Don't know where to go with this now, I really appreciate the help

If you move that control back and forth, you should feel more or less air flow into the fridg section. If not, it might be jammed shut, though rather rare.
