I noticed in my glass of water that I dispensed from the side by side Whirlpool Gold Model GC5SHEXNB00 refrigerator...little "white/clear" jellyfish looking plastic skin things. It almost seems like the inside of the water tubes are peeling away. So I went and purchased a new filter and pumped roughly 5 gallons of water to clean the lines. They are still there. This makes me believe that the problem lies after the filter to the dispenser in the door. Does any one have a pdf or good internet link, showing how to properly replace this or is there some other idea what the floats are in the water. The water coming out of the wall to the back of the fridge is clean. So this tells me I need to replace the water plastic tubing in the fridge.

What you are describing sounds like what's happening to me. We have a Whirlpool side by side with the water and ice dispenser. It's 7 years old. Odd little pieces of stuff floating in the water, even after I changed the filter and ran 4 gallons of water through it. Have you had any luck finding out what's going on? The material is very small, we have to look carefully to see it. It's almost like fiber or little tiny hairs in the water.
