Our GE side by side has worked great for the past 3 years. All of a sudden the icemaker stopped working. We did all of the diagnostics steps recommended by GE and its still not working. Only once during the 'turn off the ice maker for 30 seconds, turn back on. In 15 seconds push the bar 3 times. The rake should rotate 360 degrees and water should starrt running from the valve.' Did the rake actually turn over and water come from the valve. GE said if this didnt work we would have to replace it. Is there something we are missing? Im trying everything before replacing the part.
