I have a kenmore fridge that stopped working.The fridge got warm the freezer defrosted we threw away food because we thought it was dead.I cleaned out the coils (way overdue),after that it worked fine, 2 weeks later it did it again.The fan still runs and now it's working fine again.It's a 6 year old 106 series.Any ideas?

Intermittent problems are the hardest to diagnose.

My best guess and reccomendation would be : Start with replacing the ADC/Defrost control board. It's the most likely issue. It's located inside the control panel in the fresh food compartment,
