OUR AUTOMATIC ICEMAKER IS NOT filing with water. we have checked water supply to the water inlet valve and confirmed water is being supplied. we then removed the connection to the icemaker and water supply is not making it to the icemaker. does this mean the water inlet valve is the problem?

Hello aenigro. Check and make sure the fill tube for the ice maker is not frozen. If it is clear, you will need to cycle the ice maker and see if there is voltage going to the water valve. If there is power at the water valve and the unit does not bring in water, you will need to replace the water valve. The power will only be there for a few seconds during the cycle of the ice maker. To cycle the ice maker, remove the cover off the front of the ice maker. Then using an insulated jumper wire, you will want to jump T and H on the front of the ice maker. The gears should start to turn. Once the gears have moved 1/4 of the way around, remove the jumper and they should continue to turn. Hope this helps. Part number: AP3961809
