My refrig. was not working and running warm on both sides but the I could hear the compressor. The repair man checked it out and said it needed a mother board. He replaced the motherboard today, but left by saying I'll have to wait 24 to 48 hours for the motherbord to do its calculations and he recommended I would not even open the refrig. door. Sounded strange but is that true that the mother board needs 24 hours to program itself? thanks, Korya

The newer fractional compressors take a long time to chill a box that was warm. Monitor the freezer temperature and post after it stabilizes. The motherboard will run the evaporator motor at a higher speed to chill the box down quiker.
