Replaced ice maker (part number WPL 2198597)...After about 12 hours, has ice dispense..

Then several hours later (overnight) another load. Since about one load every 12 hours or so. Is there somewhere on the ice maker or freezer to setor reset something to make the ice dispense normally? Before old one quit working, we had lots of ice,, It dispensed often.

check your i/m controller. has two parts, located on opposite sides of freezer near icemaker. has led lights. open freezer door. press in the emitter flapper door to unblock the optics beam. led light on opposite side should be on steady. if the light flashes two pulses followed by one second delay then repeats, the controller unit may be faulty.
