GTS22WCMBRWW fridge - circuit breaks inside the fridge
Brand: -brand- Age: Less than 1 year
Hello !
The cooling section (bottom) and freezer (top) of our fridge GTS22WCMBRWW suddenly stop cooling. When we came back home the main fuse of the kitchen was off. I found that by plugging the fridge the fuse switches off immediately after a clicking sound on the back of the fridge. I tried several times (I should not) but the result was the same. I left the fridge unplugged over the night. In the next morning I plug it again. This time the fan starts but not the compressor. I left the fridge working all day but the compressor did not start. Then I though perhaps it is the relay. I purchase a new relay but the problem persists - the fan is running continuously while the compressor did not start. I tested the compressor (as described in this website) and the test was OK. Then I measured the resistance and voltage here and there and I found that the main valve is closed (that is OK), that there is a voltage in the cable going into the back of the fridge (inside the fridge) however, there is no voltage on the cable coming out of the body of the fridge (irrespectively, there is no voltage on the relay.
Where could be the problem? - Why both the fridge and the freezer does not work. Which part inside the fridge (I guess) that controls both the cooling section and the fridge is out of order? - Any piece of advice is highly appreciated.
