Is there an easy way to remove the Trim Recess Disp in the freezer door in order to replace the flapper mechanism of a side-by-side GE Profile Refrigerator Model # HSS25IFMCWW? Thanks. Tag_53

Thanks. Tag_53 Tag, Here are the basic instructions for accessing the dispenser interior components, you should be able to perform the repair with this information. Dispenser Assembly The dispenser assembly consists of the interface, display board, dispenser shield, and duct door functioning parts. The dispenser interface can be removed to access the display board and the dispenser shield mounting screws. The interface is held in place by 4 tabs that hold it to the dispenser recess. To remove the interface, it is necessary to grasp the bottom lip of the interface on either side and gently pull it towards you. There are 3 wire harnesses connected to the display board.
Note: The interface and display board are replaced as a complete assembly. When assembling, insert top tabs into the top of dispenser recess first, then snap the bottom into place.
The dispenser shield can be removed to access the cradle switch, duct door, duct door solenoid, and dispenser LED lights. The dispenser shield is attached to the dispenser recess with 4 Phillipshead screws.
Note: The dispenser LED lights cannot be replaced individually. The dispenser shield and LED lights are replaced as an assembly. Check model number for correct assembly.
Good Luck,
:) :) :)
