Default Getting replacement Main Board

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
Hello guys and gals:
Thanks to this forum i will be getting a new main board from GE for my fridge
Model PFS22SISBSS
Serial GL042956
MCB WKKT Model Number 0158-04-03 0806dg

I needed to register and jump aboard and tell you guys that with persistent and determination you also can this this fixed no mater how old your fridge is. FYI here are a couple of numbers to call to get it fixed. 1-800-694-8477 will get you registered into the system but is useless upon getting the problem fixed. Next dial 1-800-386-1215 and select prompt 3 then 3 again and explain what the problem is and they will give you another number which is 1-800-749-6629 and they will be the most helpful to you. Please do not yell or get upset on the phone because that will not get you anywhere (trust me i know :-). I hopes this help you because this forum has helped me. I am very, very sorry for jumping on this thread but i had to let you guys and girls know how it worked for me. I am sorry i don't know if this covers a tech or not as i will be putting the MCD in myself so that you will need to ask but it is very simple from what i have read. On another note can anyone tell me should i replace the condenser fan as well because i don't want to blow out another main board.
Once again thank you very much!!!!!!!

Hello did you use the same value on the capacitors cause i can only find 35v 470uf capacitors

Thank you

Default Thank You, Thank You!

Gene and everyone that has contributed. I have a newer model that had this problem. After a little micro soldering and less than $4.00 I have successful fixed my fridge. I had talked to GE but my was produced after the mb problems. I guess my newer version of the mb was NOT really fixed. Both of the capacitors were bloated. I did reach a really nice person at GE that said the would give me a 50% discount on parts.
AGAIN THANKS TO ALL.

Default infamous clicking

Howdy!

Seems like my fridge has this same problem, I'm not the original owner and I believe the fridge to be the original fridge to the house (about 6yrs old).

model: gsh25sgre ss
Serial: AH243585

Keeps clicking, water dispenser not working. clicked for about 10 mins this afternoon and then seemed to run normal, but it just started clicking again about an hour ago.

I guess I just need to know what parts to order?

Very likely the problem is a bad main control board.

- The main control board Part number: WR55X10942

Part number: WR55X10942

Default fan motor first?

Hello everybody, I'm having the exact same problem with the clicking noise, etc. so that I will change out the main board. I've read that the reason for it to go bad might be a fan motor that was already bad and that if not changed out it could damage the main board again. I have to admit it had been "howling" some for a while but was cooling fine. Is this true and can somebody (Gene?) can give me the part# for it? I have a 7 year old fridge and the model number is PSS26NH / PSS26SH.
Also it's always mentioned that the main board WKKT0158-01-02 (which is what it says on mine) say its the WR55X10942 but all images I find for that board have 4 relays on the bottom left corner then two on top of the last of those 4 (counting from the left). Well, my board only has 3 relays counting from the left and the the two up but on top of an empty spot. Can I still use the WRR55X10942?

Thank you very much
Julio

Hi Julio,

Where did you find these model numbers you posted? Probably from the manual? The complete model number should be inside the refrigerator.

There are two fans in the refrigerator. Which one did you mean?

Gene.

Hello Gene, thanks for the quick reply.
Well, I found those numbers inside the refrigerator but apparently the wrong nameplate. I looked again and found another one, which is probably the one you're asking for. it's MODEL No.PSS26SHRB SS SERIAL No. TG434567

I'm not sure what fan. Does it have one for the freezer part and one for the refrigerator part? If yes then it's the one on the freezer part that's " howling".
Thank you,
Julio

Julio,

There is no such model (PSS26SHRBSS) number listed. Instead of "B" it should be A, C, D or E. Please verify ans repost it.

Gene.
