Whirlpool and other models.

First thing to check is the MAIN shut off valve that the water supply line is connected to. I know, you are getting water thru the door and no ice, or some water thru the door, sometimes, etc....Happened to me on my Whirlpool side by side and my neighbors.

Do this before buying, or tearing anything else apart.

1. Find the water shut off valve from the house water supply, open & close it a couple times, listen for water, etc.....try water thru the door, should be better.

2. Check the water supply opening inside the freezer that fills the icemaker to see if it is frozen. Unthaw with a hair dryer.

3. Unplug the refrig and plug it back in, ice maker will fill.

If you have a copper supply line, connected to your copper water pipe, screw it closed and reopen it.

Hope this will help someone, seems to be a common problem.
