[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']I have a Jenn-Air refrigerator with a water dispenser inside the unit. The unit is a Jen Air (Maytag) model JFD2589KES and is about 5 years old. When you push the water dispenser button the water flows for about a half second and then goes to a trickle. At the same time there is a loud vibrating noise inside the frig where the water filter is located. The water filter is only about 2 months old. There is no noise at the back of the frig where the water lines come into the unit. I have removed the filter and drained it and then replaced it. I can hear the water rushing back into the filter. That only makes the water flow normally for a second and then to a trickle accompanied by the loud vibrating noise from within the unit near the water filter. [/font]
[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']At this time I am not sure where the problem is. It could be the disperser button since the water seems to flow back into the filter once I replace it. But I think it is most likely the dual water inlet valve at the back and bottom of the unit (Part Number: AP4080862).[/font]

I have the same/similar problem. It started a few weeks ago, after years of no trouble. Filters in the unit have been changed regularly; recent filter change improved the 'volume' of the noise, but it's still loud. Flows nicely for a few seconds, then noise erupts and flow is reduced. Irritating, isn't it?

I'll welcome any help on this.

I intend to change the dual water inlet valve Part Number: AP4080862, I'll let you know if that fixes the problem.

Brad, it's been a couple of months...I still have that hammering sound in my Jenn Air refrigerator/water dispenser. Did you ever find out how to fix it? Thanks.
