Buzzing sound near Compressor
Model Number: JFC2087HRS Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 1 - 5 years
This is the bottom drawer freezer, and over the past month or two, I hear a buzzing sound lasting 6-10 seconds then ending with a metalic click. After pulling the back cover off, the fan runs quietly, but the buzz is coming from the compressor area (yes, it is the Tecumseh version). Freezer is -5 deg, and frig is 35 degs, so working fine. Shoud I be concerned about this noise?
2 days later, buzzing still happening every 3 mintues, but compressor stopped running, and there is no cooling. Is this the compressor or starter relay / capacitor? Ads By Google Related Models Last edited by syturria : 03-01-2009 at 09:27 AM. Reason: Update information
