Default Warm Fridge/Freezer?
Model Number: MSD2651HES   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

Up until yesterday the fridge and freezer were working fine. We first noticed that the freezer wasn't working because the ice in the ice machine started to melt all over the place. Figured that part out because the ice maker has been broken for a while and we have to retrieve our ice manually from the inside. Everything else inside the freezer/fridge seems to be working fine. The lights and water both work. The freezer does blow out some cold air but BARELY any. Even setting the coolness to max on both the fridge and freezer does little to none. The fridge/freezer is making a buzzing noise every now and then also. We think it may be the compressor but even if that were correct we don't know what the part number is? Any help would be great.

I would replace the compressor start device AP4079373, just pry it off the side of the compressor.

well bought the compressor starting device part but the fridge still isn't working. It comes to life for a week or two and then dies again. Any other ideas guys?

Did you replace the start device and plug in the run capacitor?

Yup, replaced the start device and plugged in the refrigerator but that didn't help? the fridge turns on and the lights work but it still only blows out hot air and makes a loud buzzing noise.

If you plugged in everything right, you probably have a bad compressor.

Compressors cost $200- $300 and labor, a dryer, sometimes an evaporator, total usually $400-$600.
