Hi PLMSMH

The first thing I would do is verify where the water is dripping from: the water dispenser for the drinking water or through the ice cubes release door (flapper).

Does the ice maker leak?

Does water leak out of the ice bin?

Gene.

Hi Gene! The water is dripping from the water tube of the water dispensor on the outside of the front door (not through the ice cube release door; ice maker does not appear to be leaking, nor does the ice bin... it is as if the spring??? closing of the tube or flapper is not completely closing/turning off. Even when the water supply is on and the ice maker arm is raised-to not make new ice -- the water dispensor continues to drip... Does this clarification help??? PLMSMH

My guess is the water inlet valve (AP3085178) is defective and allowing water to flow when it shouldn't... Although it's puzzling when you said this drip continued when the supply valve was closed... Perhaps your supply valve needs replacing too if it's not stopping water flow when closed...
