We lost power briefly and discovered after power resumed that fridge/freezer stopped cooling.
Compressor starts for a few seconds then shuts off.....
We tried unplugging overnight, letting it dry out and all.....in the morning, still doing the same thing......fridge running but not cooling.....just melting everything!

ordered a new start device?
think this will work?

Check the compressor electrical part as described in one of our previous threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros...not-cool.html#post281680

If it tests OK then more likely the new start device will fix the problem.
