I have to replace the water dispenser fitting, Pc. 10. I have ordered and received Part #Whirlpool 4388152. The replacement package I received contains two separate assys, one short black tube assy with a white nozzle and one long white water hose assy with a bracket on the end. My broken component, to be replaced, is the white nozzle on the end of the short black tube assy. What is the best way to replace my broken component?Do I have to remove the black front dispenser faceplate and if so, how do I go about it?Thank you,Richard Moore 804-815-0730 Cell drifterpilot@cox.net

Hi Richard, You do not have to install everything from the kit. Replace whatever has to be replaced. You have to remove the dispenser front cover first. It can be removed by inserting a screwdriver blade into the two slots on the bottom side of the cover. By gently turning the blade, the cover will snap free at the bottom and can be slid upward to be removed. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool refrigerator Model ED22GWXFW02Gene.

Gene,
Thank you for your help. Your directions to remove the black faceplate worked like a charm and the 'fix' was obvious after that. Thanks again.

Richard,
You are welcome. I'm glad you were able to fix it.

What did you do exactly? I believe I need to replace the same piece as you and have the kit in had, but I see no way to remove the piece that directs the water down into your glass. It appears to be permanently attached to the black tube.
HELP!
