Greetings. I have a Frigidaire Professional Series side by side model PLHS67EGSB1. Just today, the ice dispenser quit working. Nothing would happen when you pushed against it with a glass to get ice. I emptied the ice bin, looked for obstructions, and didn't see any obvious problems. I was able to get the auger motor to come on by pushing in the actuator with a glass, but it feels sticky and the little flap or door doesn't snap closed anymore and takes a little while to close. It seems as though it's sticking or there is an issue with the spring. I did a little research and I think I can remove the ice/water dispenser cover by sliding out the drip tray, removing the three screws and lifting up to remove the cover. My question is...can I access the areas of concern by doing this and does anyone have any idea on what my problem might be? Does it need a good cleaning or lubrication or...? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
