Refrigerator & Freezer Repair

My SxS won't freeze or cool. I cleaned the condenser (it was bad) and also looked at the evaporator (no frost on it). Maybe no frost because its now warm in freezer. The fans are working AOK. No abnormal sounds. Compressor is warm (can hold my hand on it) but not HOT. I tapped what I think is the start switch attached to side of compressor and it kicked on and stayed on for only a few seconds. I tried a few times (the tapping) and it only worked once more after a few minutes of waiting.
Can you help?

Sounds like the overload and relay combination that is mounted to the compressor is your problem. Replace those conponents, and that should take care of it. That is a very common problem on your model. Tom ********************************************
