Default Roper Ice Maker

The water is in the line up the back of fridge and I know ice maker works because I pour water into it and it produces ice. It has something to do with teh pump that gets the water into maker the part where the in line and out line connects. I have been told by your online help person that I need to find out what that part is called so that she can help me find it

Hi mpmc

The first thing I would check is the coil on the water inlet valve. Remove wires from the coil and check for continuity across terminals. Replace the water valve if the coil is open.

Does the ice maker goes in a harvest? If not, replace the ice maker.

Wait until the ice maker will go in a harvest and check if there is 120V coming to the water valve during the end of the harvest.
If no, replace the ice maker.
If yes, replace the water valve.

- The part number for the water inlet valve AP3189335

- The part number for the ice maker AP3853272

- Here are the break down diagrams for the GE refrigerator Model CTX21DIBRRAA

Good luck.
Gene.

Hi tmcraintx

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of your fridge.

Gene.
