I am having problems with my fridge. It does not make ice and water only drips out of water dispenser when pushed. I replaced the filter and just replaced the water valve. Still nothing changed. I did turned the ice dispenser handle to off and then flick it on and that works. But there is no water going to the dispensar. The ice maker hasnt really worked for 6 months or so and when it did work the ice was hollow. I wondered if it was a water pressure issue and there were no lines kinked and the house pressure read at 30 psi. I do not know what to do next. Please help!!!!

I just checked my filter and when i unscrewed the lid, it was half filled with water. I then put a large cup underneath the filter and used a small cup underneath water dispenser and pushed.....water was filling the large cup underneath the filter, while water was still trickling into the small cup that was coming out of the dispenser. It just seems odd that the water flows so fast out of the filter area but not out of the dispenser.

Hi Winzwildcat,

I was just wondering if you were ever able to fix you problem? My issue is somewhat similar. Our 2nd hand GE (thanks Craigslist!! ) Will dispense water, but it is not making ice. After running the "diagnostic", it looks as though the issue is no water going to the ice maker tray. I am not very handy, but I though there was only one intake for the water which I assume probably splits off to the water dispenser and the icemaker. It seems odd to me that one mechanism would get water flow, but the other would not.
