problem with amana frig. week ago started with buzzing sound then click. finally quit working. assume its something with compressor. checked the frig and saw parts on your site for overload relay and run capacitor. could these parts be the problem rather than the compressor? if so, i've taken the parts off the compressor, is there anyway to check to see if they're bad before ordering new ones. or, if it's the compressor go buy and new frig? thanks

If the old start device rattles when shaken, it's bad. If no resistance across the terminals where the run capacitor plugs in, it's bad.
Order a new one AP4013414, just plug it in the compressor terminals and install the old run capacitor. You are lucky the original device is available.
