my son has a kenmore upright freezer thats about 1 and 1/2 years old works fine until power outage and then it may or may not restart . happened once under warranty and the repair guy reset it and said t should be ok but it happened again and since its in the garage you dont know it until you smell the mess any ideas thanks

A model number may help others help you.
Model Number Locator

You need more info on what is happening when it fails.
What runs and what does not etc.

Also units in a garage can have problems due to the ambient temperature so you also need that.

I do not know of any reset button so more info on what the tech actually did might be useful.
