I had the problem of the freezer working but not the refrigerator. I suspected the damper control so I actually removed the damper so the opening from the freezer is totally open. The refigerator still does not cool to the proper temp.

A model number may help others help you.

Check your freezer temperature, should be 0 to 5 degrees F.

Is the evaporator (freezer) fan running. It is needed to push the cold air into the fresh food section.

If it is a side by side, there is often a vent lower down on the divider wall make sure it is clear on both sides. It must be open to let the air in the unit circulate correctly.
