kenmore side by side
Model Number: 10651262103 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
stopped cooling so i removed rear panel and noticed the compresor wasnt coming on and the evaporator fan wasnt running.
i started the fan with my finger and it would run but making alot of noise. i ordered a new fan and installed it when it arrived.but the compressor still wouldnt start so i gave it a good kick and it started running.i let it run for 24 hours and it was cool inside but not cool enough. i unpluged the power and checked the wiring conections on the compresor and capacitor and noticed the overload on the compresor was burnt up. ordered new starter kit and installed but now the compresor is stuck and wont start up. would it be worth a try to put a bigger start capacitor on and try that or should i order a new compresor????? If the freezer never got down to at least 10 degrees, you probably have a bad compressor, or contaminated system. Replacing the compressor is very expensive and you need a refrigeration license to do it.
