I started having some ice maker issues over the past couple weeks. I recently changed the filter and it seems the problems started around that time, although I don't think its related. The water comes out of the door dispenser just fine.

I first noticed the problem when the ice cubes wouldn't come out of the dispenser. It seemed like they were too large and clumped together. I took out the ice bin and noticed that there were large clumps of ice sticking together. I assumed maybe the door had been left open and they melted together. Finally, I just dumped all the ice out and started over. At that point, I left the ice maker go for a couple days and noticed it wasn't making ice.

I checked the ice maker itself and noticed that the whole tray was full of ice but it wouldn't dump out. I removed the whole ice maker to get a better look and the whole inside of the maker tray was a big block of ice. Everything seemed frozen together, probably making it impossible for it to dump the ice out.

Any ideas what's going on? Should I simply let the ice maker tray thaw out and re-install to see what happens? Should I do any other diagnostic testing in the meantime?
