Model Number: gss22jepacc Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
My ice maker auger got stuck and I noticed a crack in the plastic blade. Upon trying to manually turn it, it snapped and the auger became dislodged. Should I but just an auger or buy auger and bucket with the auger already installed. Obviously there is a price difference (50.00) but I don't want to pay for the whole assembly if the auger is easy to install into the bucket. Any opinions from someone with more experience would be greatly appreciated.

Hi museman
If the auger is only part which is damaged you do not need to by the whole assembly. Be careful with small parts for the ice crusher when you'll take it apart. It can became a puzzle. - The part number for the auger AP3672963 - The part number for the auger and bucket assembly AP3203458 Good luck. Gene.
